Conference Interpretation and Equipment for TJNA's International Tax Justice Academy in June 2026

From 15th to 18th June 2026, Ateric Translations provided conference interpretation equipment and professional interpretation services for the International Tax Justice Academy, organised by Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA) at the Ridge Cabin Resort in Limuru, Kenya.
The Academy is a flagship capacity-building programme that brings together tax justice advocates, researchers, policymakers, and civil society representatives from across Africa to deepen their understanding of fair taxation, illicit financial flows, and natural resource governance.
Unlike a conference where information flows mainly one way, the Academy is a hands-on training, meaning every participant needed to fully grasp complex technical content in their working language in order to meet the programme's learning objectives.
Ateric supplied and set up soundproof interpretation booths for both the plenary hall and breakout rooms, tabletop microphones with built-in interpretation channels, wireless receivers and headsets for delegates, PA systems for clear in-room audio, and hybrid integration to connect virtual participants seamlessly with the in-person sessions.
What made this project succeed: Equipment alone does not make a training work. Clear audio and reliable booths only set the stage; it was our interpreters' command of tax and finance terminology, and their ability to keep pace with fast-moving technical discussions, that determined whether participants actually absorbed the material.
Our team prepared in advance with TJNA's training content and glossaries, then delivered consistent, accurate interpretation across plenary sessions and smaller breakout groups throughout the four days, ensuring no participant was left behind regardless of the session format or their working language.
By combining dependable equipment with skilled interpretation, Ateric helped TJNA achieve what mattered most: participants leaving the Academy with a genuine, working understanding of tax justice issues, not just a translated transcript of the proceedings.
Ateric Translations continues to support trainings, conferences, and multi-day programmes across Africa with end-to-end interpretation equipment and expert interpreters, ensuring every session, plenary or breakout, in person or virtual, delivers on its objectives.
